Failure in married life?
Samson, who had failed in his marriage, went in search of prostitutes and the love of women (Judges 16). Indeed, those who fail in marriage and family life will go in search of prostitutes or engage in sinful acts such as adultery and liaison. Why did the married life of the man of God named Samson fail? Why was his wife given to one of his friends? What is the reason for the failure of the married life of many of God's children today? How to resolve when they have failed in marriage life? Let us meditate on the answer to those questions in this Prophetic message.
For forty years, the Philistines controlled and enslaved the inhabitants of Israel. Almighty God predestined Samson, not in her twenties or thirties, but before he was conceived in his mother's womb, to fight against the Philistines in order to destroy them and liberate the people of Israel out of their hands. Samson grew up after being birthed from the womb. He was blessed and anointed by the Lord. (Judges 13)
The time has come to use him according to the heavenly plan that has been set for him. So the Spirit of the LORD began to stir him to go down to Timnah to battle with the Philistines, while he was in the camp of Dan. He must have gone there and fought with the Philistines. But, he was mesmerized by the beauty of the Philistine daughter, giving place to the lust of the eyes, and began to love her. He desired to marry her. Therefore, he returned to his place without fulfilling the purpose of Almighty God for which he was sent. (Judges 14:2)
He told his father and mother stubbornly, “A young Philistine woman in Timnah caught my eye. She is pleasing to my eyes. I want to marry her. Get her for me.” His father and mother objected, saying, “Why must you go to the pagan Philistines to find a wife?” and asked him to look for a woman among the daughters of Israelites. But he didn't listen to his parent's words. He was so adamant that he will only marry her. (Judges 14:3)
God observed the hardness of his heart
and allowed him to seek occasion against the Philistines at least in this way.
It is not the perfect will of God, but rather His permissive will. (Verse 4)
As a result, the man who had to go to Timnah and fight with the Philistines to save God's children is now going for marriage. The one who is to go as God’s warrior goes as the bridegroom for the wedding. They have done the betrothal. But, the problem arose before marriage. The marriage also stopped. So his beloved wife was given to one of his companions. Now there is no longer a woman .. no family. So, he seeks prostitutes and the love of women in order to fulfill his desires and to satisfy his lust. He did not have a good family life for the rest of his life.
Like Samson, the God of heaven has great plans, today. That grand plan could be to serve God, preach the gospel, break the shackles, and free countless people from the shackles of sin. However, without understanding this plan and not agreeing to carry out such a plan, they will set up a married life as an obstacle to the divine plan like the human beings of the world. Some will love strangers and marry them. Others lust for dowry, money, and beauty and forget the plan of God.
This is what will eventually become a big issue for them. Marital life can end in great failure. Either marriage will not occur, or if it does occur, the couple will be unable to live in harmony as a family. This is how the married life of many of God's children fails.
Is it possible to resolve a failed
marriage life? If yes, how can this be corrected? Let us meditate on this
continuously.
Almighty God promises Abraham, the father of the faith, at the age of seventy-five. Up to that age, he didn't have a child. God said, "I will give you a child and make you into a great nation." He believed in the promise God had made and waited for it to be fulfilled. (Genesis 12)
But before the time, out of lust for a
child, he listened to his wife, Sarah, and gave birth to the ungodly Ishmael
along with the slave girl Hagar. He has done this against the will of God.
(Genesis 16)
Before getting the child, he violated the divine plan for the child. How is he now? Has he repented? Does he really fear God? He allowed a test in his life to find out. The test is that he should take his son, his only son Issac, whom he loves, and go to the land of Moriah to offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains. (Genesis 22)
Abraham obeyed the voice of God, and rose early in the morning, and took with him, his son Isaac, and went to sacrifice. He built the altar in the place which Almighty God had told him. He arranged the woods on it and laid Isaac on the altar. He stretched forth his hand and took the knife to slay his son. The affection on the child had gone. The word of God alone has become important. He dared to sacrifice the child for God.
The angel of the LORD called Abraham
from heaven, and testified, "Now I know that you fear God because you have
not withheld from me your son, your only son." He again got back Isaac,
whom he had dared to sacrifice for the Lord. Isaac lived one hundred and eighty
years.
Like Abraham, you may have lusted for money or beauty, and married unbelievers, by disobeying God's Word, and thus your life may be affected. So you may be in the dark period. The good news for you is not to worry about it. Agree to place it on the altar for whatever reason you have denied the Almighty God. Keep your married life on the altar. Dedicate yourself, "Lord, you alone are sufficient for me." Almighty God will resolve the problems that you find in your married life. Your family problem will change. Your divorced wife will come looking for you. Your family will be built. You will get peace and happiness. You will not run away in search of prostitutes and the love of women.
Those who have failed in their married
life by contrary to God’s plan can resolve it by keeping their lives on the
altar.
(Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit....
